Job description
Do you have experience in ornamental horticulture, enjoy hands-on work in the field, and want to play an active role in a modern horticultural business? Then this position could be a great fit for you.
We are looking for a candidate who has a genuine passion for plants, takes pride in high-quality crop work, and enjoys the variety of day-to-day production activities. In this role, you will work actively in production and take responsibility for the cultivation of various ornamental crops.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing and cultivating young plants as well as bedding and balcony plants
• Monitoring plant development and ensuring consistently high crop quality
• Carrying out all relevant crop care activities in the greenhouse and, where applicable, in outdoor production
• Applying crop protection measures and using beneficial insects in a targeted and responsible manner
• Supporting irrigation, fertilization, crop care, and stock monitoring
• Assisting in the planning, organization, and optimization of operational processes
• Working with modern horticultural technologies as part of the daily production process
Job requirements
• Completed vocational training as a grower / horticulturist, ideally specializing in ornamental horticulture.
• Experience in the cultivation of ornamental plants, young plants, or bedding and balcony plants
• Interest in modern cultivation methods, plant production and technical processes
• A responsible, structured and independent way of working
• A team-oriented mindset combined with a strong awareness of quality
• A crop protection certificate is an advantage, but not essential
• Openness to sustainable and resource-efficient production methods
• A good working knowledge of German is required!
