The right candidate preferably has some technical knowledge, interest or experience with, for example, LED lighting systems, but also speaks with the grower’s practical language. Sales experience in commercial functions in horticulture (or related sectors such as greenhouse construction and suppliers of technical systems) and having a network in this sector is a major advantage. This, for example , can be a network with producers and builders of greenhouses or suppliers of technical systems. The required head of sales / commercial director works from home, but will of course be often on the road to speak to and convince (potential) customers.
We are looking for an ambitious candidate with extensive commercial experience. The candidate we are looking for always wants to achieve the set goals, is commercially strong, takes initiative, is willing to take his own responsibility and has the real drive to make this position a success. He or she is a strong and convincing personality who can quickly build up a whole new European customer base in agriculture and horticulture. Depending on the commercial success and the realized revenue growth, he or she may have new employees to recruit. Due to the international nature, good command of English (spoken and written) and (preferably) some other European languages is essential. The company has a preference for candidates who live in Central Europe and start working in Europe from their own country.
