As the new year has settled in, you may be thinking about a new job. Your first thought might be to check large recruitment agencies whether they can help you find the job you’re looking for. Usually, these large agencies are able to help anyone in any industry, whether you’re looking for something in IT, healthcare or logistics. However, you may be questioning whether they can also advise you in your specific field. These agencies may have a lot of general knowledge about the job market, but they won’t know all the specifics about your industry and all the opportunities there are to be found. The way I see it, these large recruitment agencies are like supermarkets. You walk in and most of the groceries are easy to find and take from the shelf, but if I have a question about a nice piece of meat and which wine goes best with it, it becomes difficult. Then you would choose to go to a specialist, for instance a butcher or a liquor store.
The same goes for recruitment agencies. Candidates who have been in a certain industry for a long time generally know what they want and don’t want, yet they may still have very specific questions. These questions can’t be answered by a generalist, but a specialist can answer them. This is exactly why we founded The Recruiting Specialist. We only have recruiters who are specialised in their own field. If you’re looking for a job outside our field, we can’t help you. However, if you are looking for a job in our field, we are here for you. We have passion for our industry and have years of experience in it!
